Kathy White joined the NHLI team in July and will continue her work as the project lead on the Deeper Learning and Diffusion of Innovation and Scaled Impact in New Hampshire as a vital member of the JFF/NHLI RPP team.
Kathy spent her professional career in public education, most recently as Dean of Faculty at Souhegan High School in Amherst, NH. At Souhegan, Kathy was responsible for promoting an engaging teaching and learning environment, managing the transition to competency based learning for faculty, staff, and students. Prior to becoming Dean of Faculty, Kathy spent 21 years as a Business/Technology Instructor and SHS Technology Coordinator. Souhegan High School opened in 1992 as a member of the Coalition of Essential Schools and is committed to student voice, mastery learning, and performance assessment as core principles of curriculum, instruction and assessment.
Earlier in her career, she taught at Nashua High School, Elm Street Junior High and Rivier College.
Kathy holds her NH Principal Certification as well as a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Administration. She earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Rivier University.
Kathy engaged in specialized training including facilitative leadership through SRI and in design thinking and innovation through Darden Executive Education.
