Nathan Harris is a Ph.D. student at the University of New Hampshire concentrating on Education—leadership and policy. He is a retired Medical Executive with 34 years of operations, marketing, sales, and executive management experience in the medical device and military avionics industry.
Nathan has held multiple leadership positions in Sales and Marketing with various small and large medical device companies, including Advanced Circulatory, LightLab Imaging, CAS Medical, and Salient Surgical Inc. He spent 12 years with Medtronic Inc. and held positions as a National Sales Director, European Business Director, District Manager, Marketing Product Planner, and Device Sales Representative. Before Medtronic, he worked in various leadership and engineering operational capacities for Guidant Inc. and Honeywell Avionics Division.
He earned an Engineering degree from the College of New Jersey, attended the Executive Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. He has served on multiple boards – Variety Club Heart Hospital and Advanced Circulatory- and currently serves Enova Inc. and the National Center for Competency-Based Learning (NCCBL). He is also a past member of the New Hampshire 306 Minimal Standards Committee. Nathan is enthusiastic about continuous learning and primary public education and looks forward to helping transform the education system in our state and nationally.
