Bari Boisvert

Bari Boisvert brings over 26 years of classroom teaching and instructional leadership to her role as Director of Student-Centered Learning at the New Hampshire Learning Initiative (NHLI). A dedicated mentor and Professional Learning Community (PLC) leader, she works directly with educators across New Hampshire to build authentic, empowering learning environments.

Areas of Expertise

  • Student-Centered Instruction: Project-based learning (PBL), authentic learning tasks, student agency and voice, and career-connected learning.

  • Assessment & Curriculum: Competency-based education (CBE), performance assessment design, and rubric development.

  • Statewide Leadership: Served as Grade 10 ELA Content Lead for NH-PACE and Design Lead for New Hampshire ELA PLACE, supporting high-quality performance assessment across the state.

  • M.Ed. in Secondary Education: Notre Dame College

  • B.A. in English: Keene State College

Debbie Metcalfe

Business Administrator

Debbie joined NHLI part-time in 2019 to support the important work being done by NHLI and its outstanding staff.  As a result of the growth of the organization, her position became full-time in 2021.  Her role is to keep things running smoothly through attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a sense of humor.
Prior to NHLI, Debbie spent 35 years in alumni and development work for organizations including the Museum of Science, Lesley University, Tufts University and the last 18 years at Harvard University.
Debbie graduated from UNH and lives in southern NH with her husband, Ted.
