Bill Duncan

William “Bill” Duncan served as the first President of the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Learning Initiative (NHLI), helping guide the organization during its formative years and establish its commitment to strengthening public education through innovation, collaboration, and student-centered learning.

Bill has been a longtime advocate for strong public schools and thoughtful education policy in New Hampshire. In 2014, he was appointed to the New Hampshire State Board of Education, where he contributed to statewide discussions and decisions related to academic standards, assessment, accountability, and educational improvement.

As NHLI’s founding Board President, Bill helped provide the leadership and stewardship necessary to launch an organization that would grow into a statewide partner for educators, schools, and districts working to create more meaningful and effective learning experiences for New Hampshire students.
